Project | Following the outputs from a program of work in partnership with Meta TTC Labs, Craig Walker designed and developed a series of 17 privacy focused XR design patterns (full set here). The patterns demonstrate how transparency and trust can be fostered in an intuitive way through considered design. To bring these patterns to life we collaborated with Supermarket, using 3D animation to transform our storyboards and concepts. The patterns cover a range of interactions and scenarios from control and privacy setting to hierarchies of consent and social signaling. To learn more about interaction design for immersive experiences, read my article, "Crafting intuitive interactions for the metaverse: Objects, places and social dynamics" published by TTC labs. |

The metaverse is giving rise to a whole new interaction vocabulary – one that requires us to dramatically revise the existing conventions for screen-based interaction design.
